Hello Friends of FLF ....
 
Thanks to everyone who was able to come to the Fall Picnic.  The weather held out fine with only a sprinkle of rain in the morning.  We had a great time together.  We enjoyed Pit Beef and Pit Ham along with all the good sides and deserts that you brought.  Bob Scheihing defends his "Cornhole Champion" status ... at least until next spring.  Roman hovered over the grill until he could sample some beef.  The Schmidt brothers led two volleyball teams in a bitter dual for the title of best team.  The children were busy enjoying the Bounce House and all the other toys and games for them.  We had a few new couples join us for the first time at a FLF event while we missed several couples who could not make it.  A few of us watched the Ravens Game on the porch ... close to the food.  Pictures will be up on our bulletin board this week.
 
Bob Scheihing's couples weekend is coming up in October.  FLF couples going this year include Duane & Val, Nate & Rachel, Tim & Fon, along with Matt & Courtney.  Please pray for these couples during the weekend at Black Rock.
 
Discovery Time .... On Sunday mornings at 9:30 am .... We are studying "Worship, the Clue to Finding Meaning in Life".  We will be in Malachi Chapter 1 this Sunday continuing our study.  I invite you to join us for this challenging study in God's word.
 
There will be an FLF social event in October and a "Prayer & Share" .... dates and times will be forthcoming.
 
Fon & I have been blessed and enriched in getting to know those of you who have been active in the FLF ministry.  We hope to get to know those of you who have not yet been to an FLF activity.  We need you to enrich our fellowship and broaden the ministry for the glory of Christ our savior.
