GOOD NEWS

GOOD NEWS FOR YOUR WEEK

TGIM - Thank God It’s Monday!

THE WORD IS: Your kingdom come.  Your will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven.  Matthew 6:10

THE POINT IS:  It seems that almost everyone is engaged in some form of kingdom building.  But whose kingdom, and for what purpose?  Regardless of what it’s called, in the final analysis, it is either about earthly kingdoms or the Heavenly Kingdom.  Most people are busily scurrying about in an attempt to build their own earthly kingdoms.  Some are quite successful and elaborate, while others are not much at all.  Such earthly kingdoms rarely satisfy and never last.  What’s worse is that we may not even last long enough ourselves to actually enjoy them.  Jesus cited the example of the rich man who died while in the process of building more barns to store his wealth.  He described this man as a rich fool.  How tragic!  The kingdoms of this world are merely temporal—they don’t last.  Only God’s Heavenly Kingdom is eternal—it is everlasting.  That is why it’s so important for us to focus on the Heavenly Kingdom.  The Kingdom of Heaven is the domain of the King of kings and Lord of Lords.  It is the place where Jesus Christ reigns supreme!  The admonition from our Lord to pray that His Heavenly Kingdom would come indicates He wants us to experience Heaven on earth.  The Heavenly Father wants us to enjoy Him and experience the benefits of His presence and power in our lives right here on planet Earth.

THE APPLICATION IS:  Therefore, you should pray that God’s Heavenly Kingdom would come in your midst.  This entails your submitting to His sovereign rule over your life and allowing Him to exercise His will in every area of your life.  As you allow King Jesus to reign supreme in you, Heaven will come down and glory will fill your soul!  Since God is your Heavenly Father, He will make His will known to you so that you can boldly call forth His kingdom purposes on the earth.  This is your way of co-operating with your King in His Kingdom business.  Such bold declarations of faith will allow the Kingdom of Heaven to flourish in your midst.  As the Apostle Paul put it in 2 Corinthians 4:13, “We believe, therefore we speak.”  You can do the same by declaring God’s will to be done on earth, even as it is in Heaven.  Now that’s calling things that are not as though they are (Romans 4:17).  The result: Kingdom living in an earthly abode.

Have a great week,

P.S.  Each new year offers it’s own unique challenges and opportunities.  The beginning of a new year is a good time to reflect on where we’ve been and make sure that we are still on the right track.  Today, by the grace of God, I am grateful to report that we continue to remain true to the Heavenly vision!  Source Ministries began with a vision for missions.  It was launched with the help of a brother from India.  Read more about How it all Began:  http://sourceministries.net/About/ministry.htm#Beginning

WOW...what a day at the Chapel...

What a wonderful service this morning from Pastor Mike Kenley on the Power and Importance of Faith and Humility in PRAYER.  If you missed it, check it out on the website or request a copy from our CD resource center headed by Robb Farrell.  Also available will be the powerful message from last week delivered by  Deacon David Carey in both formats as well.

This evening we were so encouraged by a fantastic meal at 5pm and a wonderful concert by gospel music instrumentalist, Richard Kiser, with guest appearance by Deer Creek Redemption, a bluegrass band founded through Bel Air Church of the Nazarene.  What an incredible event with a powerful message of how God is proving his work in our little Chapel.  For those who missed it, you really missed a WONDERFUL time of food, fellowship, worship, and PRAISE< PRAISE< PRAISE!!!!

I encourage each of you to participate in the upcoming events this week including the Financial Peace University Course….THIS WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!!!  You cannot afford to miss out on this opportunity to learn the proper fiscal responsibilities and priorities laid out in a scriptural format.

The Deacons are in need of some construction materials listed in this week’s worship folder and on the website.  We need your participation, donation, lumber, paint, and physical talents to assist in moving forward in a cost effective manner to build up the ministries for the Jr./Sr. High, Puppets, Choir, AV/IT, and technological repairs.  The LORD will provide the time, talent, finances, and fulfill the needs if YOU open your hearts to HIS call.  I encourage you to pray about how you may be able to participate by using your time or talents to assist in building HIS kingdom in our little Chapel in Jarrettsville.

May HE be glorified and lifted up in all we say and do IN HIS NAME!!!
